The Merida eOne-Sixty 10k is an e bike that takes the electric mountain bike to the next level. The 'original' eONE-SIXTY is the most decorated, tested and awarded bike in MERIDA's history and has shaped what MERIDA is known for today: innovation, quality and outstanding performance.

However, after three years at the top of the e-enduro ranking, it was time to distil the essence of the 'old' eONE-SIXTY, incorporate the latest trends and standards, and create a new benchmark.
The new eONE-SIXTY again embodies e-enduro bikes. On downhills, it still feel s like a normal bike, agile due to perfectly tuned MTB geometry, but more planted because of the higher weight. It's a fun bike with a clear focus on trail riding.
The last few years have shown the eONE-SIXTY is often used as a 'SUV' bike. Because of the advantages of more travel, bigger tyres and comfortable geometry, it offers a fun, comfortable and capable alternative to a normal mountain bike.
The eONE-SIXTY is a high-end state of the art e-bike. Material, design and integration are cutting edge. Nothing less could be expected after the successful first generation eONE-SIXTY which influenced a whole generation of e-bikes.
Trail riding! Geometry, travel and specification make this bike perfect for demanding trail riding. It doesn`t matter if its a playful easy trail or a hardcore enduro track. The new eONE-SIXTY loves it all.
But besides its enduro and trail riding abilities, the eONE-SIXTY is also a hugely capable and enjoyable `SUV` bike. Because of the travel, the comfortable and upright riding position the eONE-SIXTY gives a lot of confidence and offers a real alternative to a `normal` mountain bike.
If a 2nd battery or charging device is carried, it can also be used for all day riding or multi-day excursions.
When choosing the frame materials, stiffness was a major focus, in particular for the front triangle, but the big hole in the down tube presents a structural disadvantage. Using carbon for the front triangle, we have maintained the stiffness whilst reducing weight despite the design challenges the battery opening presents.
Also, carbon gives real design freedom when it comes to creating a unique appearance.
The aluminium rear triangle has proven durability and function, it`s the same as the first generation eONE-SIXTY and is one of the strongest rear ends MERIDA has ever made.
We also have the advantage of spares being interchangeable.
The bike is optimised for a 29" front wheel, offering better `roll over` performance.
The head angle got slacker and the bottom bracket height got lower for better control at high speed.
The original eONE-SIXTY was optimised for 175mm crank. The new bike is designed for 165mm cranks so it can lower the BB to optimise climbing performance the seat angle got steeper.

The daddy of them all, the 10K has the powerful Shimano Steps E8000 70NM motor, powered by not 1 but 2 Shimano Steps E8035 504W batteries. The second battery can be carried in a Merida branded Evoc back pack. Modes are controlled by a Shimano Steps E8000 shift lever and key information is displayed on a colour Shimano Steps E8000 display.

Forged aluminium part integrated into the headtube. Works like a chimney so hot air can rise up and escape. When riding, heat build up from the battery is not usually an issue, but if the bike was laid in the sun for a long time heat could build up.
Mixed wheel sizes to get the best of both worlds. 29" front wheel for better ‘roll over
performance’ with a 2.5" wide tyre for precise steering. 27.5" rear wheel with 2.6" tyres give
maximum traction and comfort. The smaller rear wheel size allows shorter chainstays for a more agile and playful character.
To prevent the fork crown hitting the down tube we use an ‘Internal Block’ integrated into the frame. A clamp is installed on the fork steerer. If the steering angle is too extreme the clamp hits the rubber protection block inside the frame. Just in case the clamp does rotate on the steere, there's additional rubber protection under the head tube.
The internal battery can be accessed easily, pulling a rubber strap, sliding forward the panel and opening, the battery can then be removed by a small turn of an Allen Key (provided). But the battery doesn't need to be removed as a satellite charging port can be used.
Two part battery cover, the outer layer reduces noise through its soft material and tight fit, while the hard plastic inner layer gives it the structural shape. Key components i.e. the rubber strap and o-rings, can be replaced. Almost all connection points between battery and frame have a rubber layer between them too.
BOTTLE BOSSES AND CABLE ROUTING
A new clamp system makes it easy to organise and route cables inside the downtube whilst also providing bottle bosses on the outside. Bottle cages can be put in two positions. The upper one must be used when a piggyback shock is mounted. For Gen II a bottle can be mounted to all frame sizes.
BATTERY WAKE UP
If the bike has not been used for more than 6 months, or when the battery of the on/off switch is empty (this battery is normally charged by the main battery) it's necessary to wake the battery up again, simply push a 4mm Allen key (on the Merida Expert TR axle) through the hole on the downtube and press the hidden button underneath
